THE WAY YOU DIVORCE ISN'T!

Collaborative Divorce Mediation is a unique choice for families in transition.  It is not ordinary mediation nor is it traditional collaborative full team practice.  This is a non-adversarial No Court Divorce that is dedicated to facilitating peaceful solutions using our co-mediation team as you transition your family from what is was to what it is going to be.

Welcome to Collaborative Divorce Mediation Services.  We are dedicated to helping families in crisis and transition find peaceful solutions for themselves for themselves.  We have seen the destruction and unmet needs caused by the family law judicial system.  We have learned that finding peaceful solutions is so much more empowering for families in crisis and transition.  Before  we learn about what "Collaborative Divorce Mediation" so, let's first start with what it is not.

MEDIATION:  In traditional the divorcing clients are working with one mediator who may or may not be an attorney.  Sometimes the clients use consulting attorneys before, during or after the mediation process.  The positive is that for some families this works well and can be highly cost effective.  The negative is that it can be challenging for one mediator to meet the emotional, financial and legal needs of the family single handedly.

FULL TEAM COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE:
We have utilized the full team model since 2002, and we have been trained as trainers in this model.  We endorse this model completely, and we are somewhat biased towards this model.  This model  includes 2 collaborative attorneys, 2 divorce coaches, 1 neutral financial and 1 child specialist.  The positive is that the full team is very well equipped to assist almost every family and this model has a clear set of guidelines and protocols.  The negative (if there is one) is that not every family can afford a full team, and not every family needs a full team to help them with their unique circumstances.  Thus, collaborative divorce mediation was born.

WHAT IS COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE MEDIATION?

COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE MEDIATION:
This is a collaborative co-mediation model built around two skilled and highly trained collaborative professionals.   Brian is a skilled,, highly trained and very experienced collaborative attorney and mediator.  Carol is a skilled, highly trained and very experienced collaborative divorce coach, child specialist and mediation professional.  Together, we co-mediate with families who are seeking peaceful solutions and opportunities for themselves and for their families.

If there is a need for a neutral financial specialist, we add that professional to the team for a specifically defined purposes or family related financial tasks.  By removing two collaborative lawyers from the team, the process can be much more streamlined  and cost effective.  Can you have an attorney to consult with?  Of course!  Do you need to have one?  Maybe!  It has been our experience that in collaborative divorce mediation, many individuals do not feel that they need to have their own attorney present during the mediation process.  Some like to have consulting attorneys look at their settlement agreement before they sign it.  Some do not.  This is not a one size fits all process that is laden with protocols and preconceived schedules.  This is about meeting the needs of the your unique family  and helping you achieve success as you define it for yourselves.

As Collaborative co-mediators, we have refined this process, and have found that it is streamlined, cost effective, and empowering to the family because it is all about choice.  In our professional collaborative journey, we have worked with numerous collaborative professionals, some more than others.  Because of our experience and  unique training, we are a cohesive team that provides a high quality co-mediation at an affordable and packed price.  We are Collaborative Professionals, authors and trainers.  We understand how important pour work is and we are completely dedicated to helping you find peaceful solutions.

Our history of success provides an efficient collaborative co-mediation model that is built on experience, trust and collaborative practice.  We are members of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) as well as numerous other collaborate practice groups and organizations, and we are skilled at working together to help meet the legal and emotional needs of families in conflict and transition.  We will assist you in resolving disputes respectfully using interest based negotiations and advanced problem solving strategies.  We will address your hopes and concerns.  In contrast to litigation which can be financially and emotionally devastating, this is a family centered, private, non-adversarial, no court approach.  This is a streamlined team approach that is more targeted and cost effective than traditional full team collaborative practice.

THIS PROCESS IS COMMITTED TO:

<> RESOLVE ALL DISPUTES WITHOUT GOING TO COURT

<> ADDRESS ALL ASPECTS OF RESTRUCTURING FAMILIES

<> RESOLVE ALL ISSUES IN A FAMILY CENTERED MANNER

<> TRUST THE INTEGRITY OF THE PROCESS AT ALL TIMES

<> SUPPORT FAMILIES IN MAKING THEIR OWN WELL INFORMED CHOICES FOR THEIR FAMILY AND FOR THEIR LIVES
